How can I change the default username/password of the LinkStation?
Follow the procedure below to change the administrator username/password from the default.
1. |
For a PC, double-click the icon. For Mac OS, click the icon in the Dock. NAS Navigator2 will start.

For a PC, right-click on the icon, then select [Settings]. For Mac OS, select the icon while holding down the control key, then select [Settings].

Enter the username and password, then click [Login]. Settings will open. Note:

Navigate to [Users/Groups] - [Local Users].
|

Select "admin", then click [Edit User].
|
6. |
Enter a username and the new password (twice), then click [Save].

Note:
If you forget the username and password, you can no longer configure the LinkStation! Write them down and put it in a safe place.
