MIMO and Afterburner compatibility with Buffalo Wireless devices

MIMO on Buffalo devices is accomplished by using the Airgo chipset.
Other MIMO devices using the Airgo chipset can easily communicate at MIMO speeds. Airgo is the only chipset manufacturer that produces MIMO chipsets.


Buffalo's high speed devices use Broadcom Afterburner technology to reach 125 Mbps speeds.
Other Broadcom Afterburner based devices may work with Buffalo's router at 125 Mbps speed. If a device is labeled at 108 Mbps speeds, this usually means it is using the Atheros chipset, these devices will communicate with Buffalo devices using the 802.11g standard 54 Mbps.
