Reformatting a DriveStation for Apple OS

  1. Run Disk Utility.
  2. Go to folder Applications->Utilities.
  3. Plug in the DriveStation. It should appear in the window pane, to the left of the main window.
    An icon for the disk itself should be visible, as well as icons for each of the volumes stored on that disk below.
    Unless the disk has been partitioned, there will only be one volume.
  4. Select the disk icon (not the volume icon under it), then select the Erase tab in the pane on the right side.
  5. Select Volume Format: Mac Extended and click the Erase button.

This will delete everything on the drive, so make sure to back up.
