How can I manually setup Internet connection (User Friendly Firmware)?

Buffalo User Friendly Firmware supports a hardware slide switch to set operating mode : Auto/ON/OFF .

To configure WAN port manually, start by putting the router operating mode switch to ON position. When the switch is in Auto position the router will probe WAN port to automatically detect and setup the WAN connection type. When switch is set to (Router) OFF, the device operates in Bridge mode. Thus, there is no WAN port setup.

To configure Router manually, set  the switch to (Router) ON mode.

  1. Start by putting the router operating mode switch to ON position. Wait 3 sec for the unit to restart.
  2. Next, launch browser to the Web Admin interface (192.168.11.1) and navigate to [Internet/LAN]-[Internet].
  3. Select Method of Acquiring IP address (WAN Connection type)
