What does Syslog contain?

The system log transfer function sends a log to the Syslog server, the contents of which is for your information only.
This functions transfers a system log recognisable on the setup menu.

The output contains the following.

・Log of the TeraStation OS (Linux based OS)
・Information and Error codes of the TeraStation

Check the Information and Error codes of the TeraStation to monitor its condition.

(Example 1) I15 arises (disk check start)
Feb 1 01:23:45 (NAS name) errormon[(numeric)]: Information situation detected! RAID         I15ARRAY1 Scanning

(Example 2) I15 terminates (disk check completion)
Feb 1 01:23:45 (NAS name) errormon[(numeric)]: Information situation cleared! RAID         I15ARRAY1 Scanning

(Example 3) I51 arises (Failover initialisation start)
Feb 1 01:23:45 (NAS name) errormon[(numeric)]: Information situation detected! FailOver     I51Initializing

(Example 4) E13 arises (error in array 1)
Feb 1 01:23:45 (NAS name) errormon[(numeric)]: Error situation detected! RAID ERROR   E13Array1 Error

(Example 5) E23 arises(defect in hard drive 1)
Feb 1 01:23:45 (NAS name) errormon[(numeric)]: Error situation detected! HD1 Error    E23HD1 Is Faulty

See the relevant section in the user's manual. The log contains the same message as displayed on the LCD.
