How To: Test (DLNA) Media Server setup using software media player.

A supported feature in User-Friendly Firmware for Buffalo router is a standard compliant Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) embedded media server.
By connecting a storage device to Buffalo router USB port the stored content on the device can be made available to wired and wireless networked mobile digital media players on LAN network.

To Test On Windows 7 start Windows Media player version 12.0 or higher.


1- Connect PC to router LAN network.


2- Launch Windows Media player version 12.0 or higher.

As in figure above The Media Player will show a listing on the left pan .

Currently AirStation supports the following Media File formats:


Audio :

3gp  mp4  pcm  wav  mp3 and wma
